Jeff Shaw practiced as a civil litigator with a small Atlanta law firm from 2007-2013. During that time, he assisted trafficking victims with criminal and family law issues. In 2011, he founded Out of Darkness, which is now the anti-trafficking arm of Atlanta Dream Center. The three prongs of the Out of Darkness mission are to reach, rescue, and restore those who've been commercially exploited for sex, that God's glory would be known in the earth. This is accomplished through street outreach, hospital trainings, jail ministry, a 24-hour rescue hotline, and the operation of two safe homes. In 2013, Out of Darkness completed 105 rescues, and over 60% of those women were placed into long-term restorative care. Jeff also serves on the founding Board of Directors for Georgia Cares, the statewide initiative of the Governor's office tasked with serving child victims of sex trafficking.
