Powwow Committee Welcomes Help from AIM Missions Team
Ever find yourself tackling a project that is much bigger than anything you imagined? That’s what the annual powwow committee faces as it hopes to make each year’s event more successful: more tasks than people to help, more details than are possible to track, and sleepless nights as the event nears. Everyone hurries to finish their outfits and establish their camps, adding up to lots of stress and exhaustion.
You can make this event more manageable by offering much-needed manpower to be used however the local committee thinks best. You can offer children’s ministry for the little ones wandering around the campground. You can pitch in and share in the joy of a huge community celebration of Native spirit, culture, and heritage well done.
Come with humility and ready to work hard, but not to take charge. Come with a joyous attitude and lift the spirits of all around you. You’ll learn new skills and meet some sweet people. And you’ll see Scripture come alive.
“Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16.
Come model Jesus to the people of Nespelem.
Missions Teams Needed to Support TANF Summer Day Camp Workers
Kids are a priority for the Nespelem community. Every summer a staff of energetic leaders and local youth workers swing into action. They spend five days a week playing with kids who signed up for the day camps in advance. After eight straight weeks, everyone but the kids starts showing signs of imminent burnout. That’s where an AIM team makes a difference.
Bringing energy and excitement, your team will turn the tide of weariness and replace it with a wave of joy. You’ll get to pour new life into the youth and kids of Nespelem and share Jesus along the way.
This is your time. This is your chance to make a big difference.

Colville - Nespelem,WA
The Colville culture is made up of colorful, sometimes ancient, tribal customs combined with modern ways.
Among the 12 tribes represented here, you’ll find a people known for their genuine hospitality and upbeat attitudes. And, in the relatively isolated, rural community where you’ll serve, there are plenty of solid families with warm home environments, raising kids with character.
However, beneath the surface of seemingly quiet neighborhoods, you will discover the same social ills now common to the rest of America. Many families are impacted, and the Native family clan system is unraveling.
We want to train your team to see people through God’s eyes. our staff will challenge your team members to look beyond themselves and to go deeper into the lives of the local people, including kids. You can make a difference to someone while learning a lot about life’s struggles, and about your own relationship with Jesus.
