How has your life changed because of missions?

Missions have taught me how to see a whole new world within my own world. Through Native American missions, I’ve come to realize just how much need exists beyond the place I call home. It has opened my eyes and my heart to people and needs I might not have otherwise seen. I’ve learned that it is a privilege to be called by God to serve the least of these and to share His love beyond my own community. Missions have changed the way I see others, reminding me that serving is not just something we do, but an opportunity to live out our faith and be the hands and feet of Jesus.

FAVORITE STORY

My favorite mission stories are really about the relationships we’ve built over the years. After spending several summers serving the Native American community at BIC New Mexico, it’s so special to look forward to seeing familiar faces again and knowing they look forward to seeing us, too. One of my favorite parts has always been riding the school bus and picking up the kids for VBS. Those moments may seem simple, but they have become some of my most treasured memories. Missions have taught me that it’s not just about going somewhere to serve, but about building friendships, loving people, and becoming part of a community. What a privilege it is to return year after year and watch those connections grow.
