Who it's for.

Sometimes the calendar does not line up. Your church can only go the week after school lets out, or your men's group wants to serve on the Navajo Reservation in October, or your athletic department wants a trip built around a tournament. A custom mission trip starts with what your group needs and works backward from there.

Here is how to plan a church mission trip with us. You tell us your ideal destination, your start and end dates, your group size, and a little about who is coming. A Mission Coordinator comes back with options at the site you asked for or a better fit if that one cannot host you that week. Then we build the ministry schedule with our local partner, arrange the housing and meals, and assign a Mission Leader who stays with your team the whole trip.

Custom group trips are designed for groups of 15 or more. They can go to any of our more than thirty sites in the United States, Central America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Europe, and they can be shaped around youth, adults, or families. If you are not ready to commit, the same form has a box for that; a conversation costs you nothing.

A trained leader stays with your team, coordinates the schedule, and leads the nightly debrief.

The process

How it works.

  1. 01

    Fill out the quick app

    First and last name, email, phone, ideal destination, desired start and end dates, group size, group or individual, and a few details about your group. It takes about two minutes.

  2. 02

    Talk with a Mission Coordinator

    We call to confirm the details, check availability at your site for your dates, and suggest alternatives if needed.

  3. 03

    Reserve with a $500 deposit

    One deposit per group holds your dates and is applied to your total.

  4. 04

    Build the schedule

    We work with the local partner to shape the ministry around your group and send you fundraising tools, a packing list, and the dress code. Half the balance is due three months out and the rest two months out with your final headcount.

  5. 05

    Meet your Mission Leader and go

    About a month before the trip your Mission Leader reaches out. On site, that leader stays with you all week.

The details

What it costs and what you get.

Custom trips are priced per person based on the destination and length; domestic sites start at $445 and international trips run higher. A $500 deposit per group reserves your dates and counts toward your total, with 50 percent due three months before the trip and the balance due two months before, along with your final headcount.

  • Lodging for the week, usually at a partner church or ministry center
  • Three meals a day, with packed lunches at the ministry site
  • Ministry expenses and supplies
  • An Adventures t-shirt and a journal for every participant
  • A trained Mission Leader with your team from arrival to departure
  • Ground transportation on international trips, from the airport until you fly home
