Nashville Mission Trips

Nashville is famous for its music, and the city has grown fast on the strength of it. Growth hides things, though. Behind the honky-tonks are people sleeping outside, kids nobody is looking out for, and whole neighborhoods that are struggling to keep up. Our partner church in East Nashville has been serving those neighbors for years, and they are glad to have your team join them.

Nashville mission trips are relational at heart. You will spend time with a homeless ministry that offers clothing, food, showers, and friendship several days a week, and you will hand out water bottles and pray with people on the street. You might run a Vacation Bible School or an after-school program for at-risk kids, or throw a block party and go door to door inviting the neighborhood. There are work projects too: repairs and yard work for churches, small businesses, and neighbors who cannot do it themselves. Some weeks include a farm ministry, a soup kitchen shift, sorting donations at a warehouse, or an event for foster families.

Your team sleeps in classrooms at the partner church in East Nashville, so bring air mattresses. The church has a full kitchen, and your team plans the menu before you leave home, then cooks and serves together: self-serve breakfast, packed lunches at the ministry site, and a hot dinner after the day's work.

A trained Mission Leader stays with your group all week and leads your debriefs and devotionals. Families with children as young as eight are welcome on family trips, and departures run most weeks of the year, so it is easy to find a date that works for your church calendar.
