Sample Mission Trip Schedule

Every mission trip has its own schedule, challenges, and opportunities, so treat this as the shape of a typical week rather than a promise. Each destination page shows its own sample schedule. What stays constant is the rhythm: a devotion in the morning, ministry through the day with our local partner, and a debrief with your Mission Leader every evening.

A sample week.

Typical mission trip schedule: days of the week across the top, times of day down the side.

Schedules vary by site. Five-day trips compress the ministry days; some sites arrive Friday evening and spend Saturday orienting and Sunday at church; others run Saturday to Saturday. Breakfast is usually simple, lunch is packed for the ministry site, and a hot dinner is served after ministry.

What fills the ministry days.

It depends on where you go and what your group is good at. Teams run VBS and kids clubs, sort and distribute food and clothing, do light construction and repairs for families, visit homes to pray and listen, walk neighborhoods in prayer, and run sports camps. Your Mission Leader shapes the week with the local partner before you arrive, so the work matches a real need.
