Step away from the busy-ness of life to slow down to connect with God while hiking the Camino de Santiago in Chirst centered sisterhood.
Your team will:
You will lodge at hostels on the Camino set up exclusively for pilgrims. Sheets and pillow are provided at some hostels. We encourage bringing a sleeping bag liner.
Meals will be provided for the team along the route. A light breakfast consisting of coffee and a pastry is provided to begin the day. Lunch is a combination of a sack lunch prepared by the team in the morning or eating at a local eatery along the route. Dinner will be provided by the hostels the team will lodge at.
Your team will fly into Barcelona Airport. Your trip leader will meet you and set up transportation to the hike’s starting point. As the trip gets closer you will receive an email with a specific meeting location within the airport. Do not purchase your flight until you have received an email with the arrival and departure times.
The safety of our participants is a top priority for us. We have both an internal Risk Management team and external Risk Management consultants. We use a multi-pronged approach to risk management – including monitoring information from reporting agencies and relying on the knowledge of our ministry partners. In addition to our own protocols (e.g., participants must be in pairs at all times), our ministry hosts and partners will provide trip specific safety guidelines for the particular trip location. Our Project Leaders are trained in risk management and have access to both on-field and home-office support.
$100 Deposit: This deposit is applied to the total cost of your trip and is required to reserve your trip. The deposit is due a week after you have been accepted to the trip. Acceptance typically happens at the end of your phone interview.
50% Payment: Half of your total trip cost will need to be paid 6 weeks before your trip.
100% Payment: The remaining balance is due 1 month before your trip.
A live virtual pre- trip session is required for this trip. Typically this session is hosted during the week in the early evening. Once your trip’s launching is confirmed, you will be provided the dates and time for the session.
During the session you will be introduced to your trip leader and your team. Your trip leader will review the vision of your spiritual journey and answers questions so you feel prepared for your trip.
You’ve got a story to tell. It’s significant, powerful, and you want it to count for something. That’s exactly how Ruth and her team felt on the very first Beauty for Ashes trip in 2014. They wanted to see women set free from the lies they had believed for years. On that trip, Ruth met a woman named Nancy. She realized this new friend had a story in need of God’s redemption. After her time with Ruth, Nancy began believing God’s truth — her story does matter.
Psalm 107:2 says “Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story.” Since 2014, Beauty for Ashes has reached over 5,000 women in 60 countries because of people like you, who are willing to share their story of redemption. We’ve hosted hundreds of retreats and small groups around the world, and have seen our curriculum proven as an effective tool God is using to foster lasting change in the lives of women.
If you want to join a Christ-centered community of women committed to sharing God’s love to all of the nations, then it’s time for you to join us in Albania.
Don’t stress about all the options! We can help you build your perfect trip, fill out an interest form to ask questions and learn about our upcoming trips.
