Discipleship takes many forms. In DLTA, you can expect to be discipled through the classroom teaching and projects, local alumni mentors, house mentors in your homes, and by access to our staff and interns. More than anything, we want to see Christ formed in you. We aren’t looking to make mini-me’s but to see you become Christ with skin on to the world around you.
We believe each person is powerful by design to have individual agency; being able to control one’s own actions, thoughts, and decisions. DLTA will challenge you to take responsibility for your own life and have the resilience to face life’s trials with a firm foundation in Christ.
Whether in your own journey as a disciple, transforming your mind, submitting your body, soul, and spirit to God, or in service to others, we seek first the Kingdom of God and the King on the throne: Jesus Christ!
You will learn to live in an intentional community while creating a culture of safety that cultivates authenticity, vulnerability, and fun.
We believe that curiosity is necessary for growth. We want you to ask questions, be curious, and explore with us. Sometimes, this curiosity is expressed through giving and receiving feedback in love. We seek to create a culture that is open to questions, curiosity and reflection in and out of the classroom.
DLTA is designed for you to engage in ministry with one another and those around you. You will be amazed at how often you will pray over your classmates and teachers. We hope to help you transition from a life of ministry on the field to a missional life wherever you go, whatever you do.
