:: Upcoming Trips ::

June 2010 World Race
11 Countries – 11 Months

Sometimes to get results you have never gotten, you have to do things you have never done. Going on the World Race this coming June is probably one of those things. Live a life of adventure, pursue living a radical faith, and walk away from one of the most transforming years of your life!

3-Day Mission Trips – Trips Starting in February 2010
Sleep, eat and serve alongside the destitute and downtrodden. Join us on a 3-Day Mission Trips (only $99 per person). These trips are unique in that you live with those whom you are serving, giving your group a deeper understanding of what life is like for the less-fortunate as your eyes are opened to the realities of poverty. Choose from: New Orleans, Dallas, Appalachia, Denver, Nashville or Matamoros, Mexico.

Has God Called You To Lead?

Adventures In Missions sends out hundreds of short-term mission trips each year around the world. We need people who are ready to lead and serve as Project Leaders for these trips. A Project Leader serves as the point person on a trip, directing both the spiritual and the logistical aspects of the trip. Whether you’re new to being a leader and feel called, or you’re a pro and just love leading groups, we want to talk to you!  Click here for more info or contact us at leaderdev@adventures.org, 1-800-881-2461 ext. 208.

:: Stories from the Field ::

Story from Mission Field #1Chaco tan line, compost, and bootleg New Moon
Caitlyn Evangelista writes:
One of the first things I heard from my hosts when I arrived in South Africa was that we had the opportunity to go to Mozambique. Little did they know that God had told me in a dream that He wanted me to go Mozambique in my future. This was the first of many confirmations, that South Africa is where I need to be, that have happened since being here.  It’s like God went through a buffet line and picked out my favorite foods.

Story from Mission Field #2Observations and thoughts about SA.
Pamela Philp writes:

The past few weeks have brought about a variety of activities for our team. Here is a look inside our lives: visiting care points and helping serve food for the kids, celebrating Mollie’s 21st birthday, visiting Nsoko, going to “Cultural Village,” and movie night.

Story from Mission Field #4Mozambique
Garrett Berkley writes:
One day after I got to South Africa, I went to Mozambique to work with a missionary who works with prostitutes and their children. On the first day we dug up and planted an organic garden at the new center for the women. The rest of the days, we played with children of the prostitutes of which some have TB or AIDS. The children live in an orphanage separate from their mothers. We got to sing with them and play soccer and have races and give them their first pizza of their life.
