the battle cry

If the past 3 days of training camp have been any indication of what God is going to do through our team in the next two months, Guatemala is going to be changed forever. God has been moving and speaking in powerful ways and that power – the power that raises the dead to LIFE lives inside of us. And we are taking it to the nations.

Something we have learned this week is that the more we surrender to God, the more space there is for Him to fill us up. And fullness is measured in overflow. The more we pour out, the more He continues to fill us. I am learning to daily surrender control, expectations, comfort, and doubt. And He is filling me with confidence, freedom, peace, and ridiculous amounts of joy!

This is basically a summary of training camp:

Jesus didn't go around asking people to believe in Him. And He didn't tell people to behave either. He asked people to follow Him. He is going somewhere, and He wants us to go with Him. He is doing things He wants us to do, and seeing things He wants us to see. Being a Christian is not about religious routine. It is about going on an adventure.

Our words have power, and the more we speak out, the more true our words become. We are learning to declare the battle cry of the Lord that He is singing over us. Something happens when the voice of God is released – all we need to do is learn how to listen.

This song has been on repeat in my head all weekend. We are an army rising up, and we carry the battle cry of love to break every chain, and bring light to the dark places in this world.
