God is so amazing that he chooses to speak to his children. He speaks in countless ways, perfectly to each individual. Until this trip, honestly I did not explore other ways God can speak besides scripture. Sunday night of training camp we began with, where everyone closed there eyes and one person would be chosen to have words spoken over them. This is a completely anomouyus exercise. I was chosen first and although many of the girls were from my team, God spoke through them to provide comfort and encourangment. I heard “you are exactly where you are suppose to be” and ” you are brave”. WOW!! That was just the beginning of a confirmation that this is God’s purpose for me right now. After that it began to get more intimate where it was one-on-one. One group would choose someone with their eyes closed and that person would pray over the one who chose. It was so cool to see God at work and awesome to have someone look up with tears flowing down or someone confirm that that was truth in their life. I believe that you have to be tuned into God’s voice for this to be possible. God  can do so much through one simple word. He is showing me truly what “radiant” and ” gemstone” means in my life. God also expanded my idea of him speaking by giving me images- images that I was able to speak over girls, over Cambodia and images my team collectively was able to produce a piece of art that represents what we see God doing in Cambodia. God is always speaking, or are we always listening?

” The watchmen opens the gate for him, and sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has  brought out all his own. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.”
