Every morning in Eswatini, children walk for miles to reach a place that offers more than just a meal. It’s called a CarePoint. And for many, it’s the only place where they are consistently fed, not just with food, but with love, truth, and the kind of hope that takes root deep in the soul.
Seven-year-old Sihlelelo is one of those children.
She lives with her grandmother and younger sister. Her grandmother works as a cleaner at the local police station, leaving early in the morning and returning long after sunset. In her absence, Sihlelelo carries the weight of responsibility well beyond her years. She prepares meals when there’s food, comforts her sister when they’re afraid, and does her best to be strong.
But she’s still a child.

And when she walks to the local CarePoint, one of over 60 supported by Adventures in Missions, she doesn’t have to carry it all. There, she finds respite. A warm plate of food. Encouragement. A safe place to play, pray, and be discipled.
There, she is reminded: you are not forgotten.
Eswatini has one of the youngest populations in the world. With over half of the population under the age of 25, the country is filled with potential and burdened with significant challenges.
Poverty, hunger, and unemployment have left many families struggling to survive, and thousands of children are growing up without consistent adult support.
That’s where the CarePoint model steps in.
Each week, more than 7,000 children arrive at CarePoints across Eswatini. These spaces, run in partnership with local churches and leaders, offer consistent meals, medical care, discipleship, education support, and most importantly, community.
Through child sponsorships, 3,000 children are fully supported each week. But that still leaves an additional 4,000 children who come through our gates unsponsored and in need.

We don’t turn them away. We never will. But meeting that need requires more than commitment – it requires support.
In response to this growing need, Adventures in Missions has launched the Voices of Hope Campaign, a year-end initiative to raise $100,000 by December 31.
The campaign has two immediate goals:
Located in Eswatini, Umdoni Farm is becoming a training ground for the next generation. Over the next five years, this initiative will:

What began as a farm is becoming a movement.
Sihlelelo’s story is one of thousands.
Each child who steps into a CarePoint carries a story of resilience, heartache, and hope. They come because they are hungry. Not just for lunch, but for consistency, safety, and someone to look them in the eyes and remind them they matter.
They come because something sacred happens when the Church shows up, week after week, with full plates and open arms.
And now, we’re asking you to show up too.
This year-end, your gift doesn’t just meet a temporary need. It creates pathways to sustainability, discipleship, and dignity.
Give by December 31 and be part of the story. Because every child deserves more than a meal. They deserve to be known, loved, and equipped to rise.
