Friday we arrived at Toccoa Falls College with no clue of the adventures we would experience before we flew out. We’ve learned to face the unexpected and face everything with stride and encouragement from each other.
Our training consists of witnessing to foreign remote tribes (our team leaders are such great actors/actresses!), building our own tent out of rope and tarps and spending the night in them, dancing…learning “the Wobble”, and sessions about survival in our countries.
This time has not only tested my physical limits but it has been a spiritually freeing experience through worship and literally shouting praises to God. It’s been a beautiful experience learning how to worship with freedom and with nothing holding you back! God is raising an army to go to the nations and I am so humbled and excited that he is using me! Fears are melting, self-doubt is thrown out, pride is gone and I am preparing myself to be an empty and willing vessel in Guatemala for His great name! Here is an incredibly powerful song our worship leader wrote:
“The Lion of Judah is thundering deep
Roaring down the Walls of fear in me
And from deep inside this battle cry
You Roar!!
Woah…”
With an awesome melody and a heart crying out, singing this song in the name of God is so empowering! After removing obstacles between me and God, I am now willing to say “yes” to God in every situation and prepared to use his strength in times of fear! It’s such an indescribable feeling to be in the full presence of God and learning directly from his fellowship! My spirit is renewed and I desire to be faithful for everything God asks of me and spread life from the spirit to those I meet this summer.
I’m really blessed by the Guatemala group because we have bonded so quickly and our love for God and each other is so evident! I can’t wait to serve along with these people! This is going to be a fantastic summer! <3
