say what?

"Say what?" — my go to reaction for any and every situation.

When we got up to go visit with women–normal women looking for a way to provide for their families–in prostitution, when we went to a hospital in Solola with 6 beds to a room and all (I mean ALL) of their families were around them, when I saw little kids fighting sickness in a dark blue room painted with some kind of green swirl as if that was to help soften the blow of the situation, when I realized that I couldn´t keep people at arm´s distance, but need to let my heart break with them.

When two guys on our team cast out a demon in the name of Jesus (never saw that before), when I came to know that loving people is something you can do everywhere (duh) and that I´m going to absolutely embrace that, when members on my team met and prayed for Dora and Luis–delivering them from some crazy business!, when I look back on the innumerable lessons I have learned from almost getting clotheslined by a clothesline (more on that later) to not eating the street ice cream (learned that one via my teammates).

It´s always good to be on your toes–especially when you´ve got a crazy God that does crazy things in crazy situations that always ends up to be crazy good!

Today I said "Say what?" when I was told that I only had 3 weeks left until I´m back in my own bed. Now THAT is crazy!
