Team Guate!! Whoo hoo!!

You wouldn’t believe it, but it’s getting cooler here in Puerto Barrios!!! It’s been pouring down rain! There were times when I shower in the rain when God directly speaks to me and tells me to feel His strong beauty and passion through the storms and thunders. (I have showered more in the rain than in the bathroom!!) I love the rain but our clothes haven’t gotten dried!
It seems like time is flying by so fast. This week, we started 2 new ministries – orphanage & break dance ministry at the park. There were some kids at the orphanage that go to the special children school so we got to see some familiar faces and some new ones. Dina was one of them and there’s no telling when her moods change. Almost the entire time we were there, I was holding a baby. There were 3 babies at the orphanage and one had cleft palate. I also met Maria who’s 16 and 9 months pregnant. Her family lives close by but they’re very poor.
We went to the park and met some guys who break dance. They were so nice and approachable especially Cesar, who taught us some moves and showed us some tricks. They’re such good guys and they want us to meet up with them every time we go to the park. (Actually, tonight we got to see them perform at the McFeliz Day by McDonald’s and they were really amazing!!! It rained for a bit but we stayed and watched them. They were so happy that when we tried to say our goodbyes, we ended up talking them for a while and they hoped to see us at the park soon.)
So much for ministries, I want to tell you guys what’s been going on on our team. I am sooo thankful for each one of these crazy, wonderful people. God is really good for bringing us all together here. It hasn’t been all that easy. We have dealt with some personal struggles, complaints and problems but God has made us stronger first in Him and for each other. Everyday, we have FEEDBACK where we intentionally share our feelings to encourage and strengthen one another.  We are a big group and most times, we have to be split up to have that intimacy to be open and vulnerable. It’s hard sometimes but I am really blessed because everyone has been genuine and real. And if you are a parent reading this blog right now, stop worrying! Ma & pa, I love you guys. But really, everyone has that desire burning inside of him/her to be in His presence and enjoy it. I can see and feel that hunger for GOD almighty, to see His kingdom here on earth and to enjoy fellowship with the true BRIDEGROOM, our Lord Jesus Christ.
By the way, we visited the hospital again and got to see Marco again. He lost weight but he didn’t have a fever anymore!! His dad told me they’re going to Guate city this coming Monday. Hopefully, the doctor will take the trach out so he can finally get to go home. His dad, Marco Antonio, let us pray for him again. I ask you guys to pray on his behalf, for his salvation and for his son’s healing.
