“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:6-7
This week started off a bit rocky…Friday morning I woke up with severe sun poisoning and 2nddegree burns all over my face. This equaled 3 days stuck in the house. But praise God I am back to normal!
In Puerto Barrios, Guatemala the Christian culture is extremely closed off. Grace is lacking and the “Christians “are very legalistic. The pastors teach of Jesus…but don’t believe in grace and people are shunned out of the church for even listening to secular music. Being a Christian in Guatemala means no dancing, no singing, no secular music, ect. Some even believe soccer is a sin. PLEASE pray that God’s Holy Spirit fall into these churches and into the pastors leading God’s children. Pray they experience God’s perfect grace that was freely given through life, death, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10.
But with all this aside…God is so good! My relationship with Him deepens every day. And I am fully sold out to His calling. He is continually transforming my life. We still have two months left…And I am so excited to see what He has in store. He is my everything!
Please continue to keep my team and the people of Guatemala in your prayers!
Dios Te Bendiga! 🙂
