I can't believe I only met the people on my team a week ago. We already feel like a family. Puerto Barrios is unbelievably beautiful – we went to a park yesterday that was right at the ocean, and it was amazing. The sea breeze felt wonderful. I have not stopped sweating since we've been here. But something about this place just makes me incredibly happy, no matter how sweaty I am.
We cracked open a few coconuts the other day and drank the milk inside – it was really good!
I could get used to this tropical climate…I think my new favorite hammock spot is under this palm tree 🙂
Our second night here, we went to a park to play soccer and basketball, and we met lots of new friends. We also gained three new sisters and a brother in Christ that night. It was amazing to experience that on our first day of ministry! Please pray for them and their new journey of faith – that they would have people come along side them to teach them and help them grow in their faith. And that we would be able to meet up with them several more times to enjoy fellowship with them while we are here.
Our team is ready for God to continue to do incredible things based on what we've already seen just by our presence here. God is already present and moving here in Guatemala, and it is such a privilege to come alongside what He has already started here.
Our team has had some crazy fun times playing games and laughing until we cry. And we've also had intimate times of prayer and worship, just soaking up God's presence. There is something very special about Guatemala, and I have no doubt that everyone on this team will be changed forever after these two months. This week we will be getting into more scheduled ministry times, so we all are beyond excited to build more relationships with the people of Guatemala and see God move in incredible ways.
Thank you for all your prayers – they are greatly appreciated!!! Love you all!
