IT HAS BEEN SUCH AN INCREDIBLE WEEK!
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:29-31
I am FINALLY in a really good place! This journey had an extremely slow and hard beginning…but Sunday changed everything! I spent several hours in the word and He opened my eyes to so much! I finally felt His presence all around me! I surrendered everything and He broke down all my walls. Four days later and I am still walking in that freedom! God is so good!
That afternoon…We attended a new church up in the mountains. We were planning on preforming our dramas…but forget the music. So a couple of us stepped up and shared our testimonies. God grant me boldness and it was definitely an awesome opportunity to share God’s love.
The next day we got to go to a Special Needs School and play with the children. Some of the children have higher disabilities…but others you can’t even tell. They are all so precious and filled with joy! Hopefully we are going to start going there a couple days a week! We went back yesterday and preformed dramas, sang, and ran around for hours with the children! I made amigas with one of the little girls named Raquel! She is so precious! We are also going to help build a classroom at the school and build a new roof! VERY excited about some manual labor! Love working outside
That night we went to the park and got to hangout with a break dancing group! We are going to start a break dancing ministry with them!?? Not too sure how that is going to go…But they taught us some basics and we got to pour God’s love into them. I am VERY excited to learn some more! Should be a pro by the time we leave! 🙂
The next morning we got to go to some local bars and minister to the prostitutes. I really had no idea what to expect, but I was excited! Prostitute ministry is very dangerous and darkness surrounds these bars. But I truly believe the power of prayer can brake down all these dark walls. I can’t wait to pour into these women and tell them how much the Lord loves them. I want them to feel the Lords love and know that they are His beloved.
Our final ministry this week was visiting the Children’s Hospital. We preformed a couple skits, sang songs, and prayed over the children…and then after a couple of us went into the newborn room and prayed with some of the mothers. That was extremely difficult. One of the babies was born with a cleft lip and the parents just left him there. Others didn’t name their babies in case they died. That was really hard to see. So definitely keep these young babies and families in your prayers.
All in all this week was really amazing! My love for the Lord has grown deeper and more intimate. I can’t wait to see what He does in and through me these next few months! 🙂 Thanks for all the prayers and encouragement!
Here’s some pictures of some of the kids at the Special Needs School…
This is Raquel! She definitely holds a huge place in my heart. She is so precious!
They are all so precious! 🙂 So blessed be able to share God's love with them.
“I may be weak, but Your spirit’s strong in me. My flesh may fail. My God you never will. Give me faith to trust what you say that you’re good and your love is great. I’m broken inside, I give you my life.” -Give Me Faith-
DIOS TE BENDIGA! 🙂
