Looking back, 2024 brought so many opportunities for us to make a difference around the world. Since Hurricane Ian, we had been working in Fort Myers, putting over 300 families back in their homes. We no sooner had given high 5’s to one another for finishing when Hurricane Helene hit in, of all places, North Carolina.
Just two years out from society returning back to normal after Covid, the World Race is growing again. We are expanding our efforts to introduce young people to a radical Jesus with whom nothing is impossible. We are so encouraged to see that GenZ is eager to go to the least of these in Jesus’s name. They are responding!
Everywhere we look, the needs are great. And that’s why we are so thankful for your support and partnership. You encourage us to double down on our efforts. You inspire us to deepen our engagement with communities and continue to share the message of Christ’s love through practical action. You help us to stretch our faith and believe for an even greater 2025.
Thank you! Thanks for standing with us! May God continue to bless you and keep you as we walk this journey together.
2024 Year in Review
In 2024, we saw a year of growth. development and depth at Adventures in Missions. While the world around us has shifted constantly, one truth remains unchanged: the hope of Jesus transforms lives. Partnering with thousands of donors, we continued moving forward and remained steadfast in our mission.
As we continued our work, young people experienced Jesus on a deeper level and joined in the transformative work happening both locally and globally. Communities were strengthened and empowered as families found renewed hope. Through programs like Beauty for Ashes retreats, women rediscovered their identity and authority, reclaiming the strength and dignity God intended for them. In North Carolina, our Disaster Relief teams were actively engaged in cleanup, rebuilding, and offering hope to those affected, ensuring that God’s love and support were present in tangible ways during their time of crisis. Adventures in Missions provided immediate relief and long-term recovery assistance to families and communities in need.
The impact of these efforts is made possible through the hands and hearts of many, and as a result, Christ followers around the world are being trained and equipped to reach the nations with the message of hope. God’s work has been evident this year, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of His mission.
2024: A Year of Impact
Beauty for Ashes
God’s transformative love is breaking down hopelessness, and women are choosing to reject lies in favor of embracing God’s truth about their worth and identity. They are shedding their past and worshipping Him with a fierce, intimate devotion.
Below are just a few examples of the many women whose lives have been radically changed through Christ at a Beauty for Ashes retreat.
The World Race Expedition program serves in six different countries over the course of 11 months for ages 21-30. We launch Expedition trips in both January and August every year.
In 2024, our World Race Expedition participants served alongside our long-term strategic partners in Guatemala, Eswatini, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Nepal, India, Albania and Turkey.
These World Racers end their 11 months with a high level of ownership and leadership qualities. Almost half of them are continuing their journeys with us by leading new World Race squads or joining us for more discipleship and leadership training at our discipleship school located at our Gainesville headquarters.
The World Race Semesters program serves in many different countries with trips ranging as short as one month to 5 months for ages 18-30. We launch Semester squads January, June, and August.
In 2024, Semesters tried something new by launching World Race Study Abroad which sent a squad for the first time in June 2024 to Italy and was followed by another trip in August 2024 to Spain and Albania. These participants did school work towards their degree while also living life on mission and investing deeply into Christian community.
The Semesters program continues to grow now encompassing almost 50% of all World Racers. Gen Z wants to go on missions with Jesus! We’re finding that they may just need a shorter trip to experiment with missions first. Praise God!
The World Race Gap Year program serves in four different countries over the course of 9 months for ages 17-20, launching trips in August.
In May, we sent Gap participants to our AIM base in Fort Myers, Florida. The teams were able to help our Disaster Relief team close up all of their operations in Fort Myers as all 100 homes had been restored! The teams saw not only homes restored but also many lives changed as they hit the streets evangelizing and having worship nights on the beach.
In October, Gap Year launched another 108 Racers and leaders to the nations after five weeks of training at our headquarters in Gainesville, GA. We continue to see great fruit with our extended training model! Through teaching, team building, debriefing, and discipleship, Gap Racers are more equipped to serve globally!

Continuing Ministry in South Asia
Our South Asia Base team continued to lean into the changes brought by growing persecution, encouraging our nearly 400 National Missionaries to continue preaching the Good News in their church shelters and home Bible studies, rather than outdoor gatherings. In the Bible studies, believers and nonbelievers alike discovered the Word hands-on, asked questions, and grew immensely. Our National MIssionaries also carried out church services as usual, strengthening their congregations and teaching the importance of all believers making disciples. We saw amazing growth in depth, understanding, and accountability in the believers. We opened another Care Point, increasing our total to five, where more than 125 children come after school for food, tutoring, and discipleship. We continued to send local teams out to the Care Points, where they built connections and led VBS for the kids.
Adventures in Missions’ Eswatini Base focuses on transforming individuals who transform their families and communities, living the lives Jesus designed them for. With this vision in mind, after twenty years of committed involvement in communities across the country, we saw generational fruit in 2024.
The need is still dire for the 7,000 children we serve, but we are heartened to see many of those orphans from the early years grow up, get married, and have their own families. Now, we see a new generation of children growing up with two parents who spiritually and materially lead a home where love and nurture are the norm. The 32 CarePoint communities where we work are seeing gradual breakthroughs as more and more children grow into the transformational lives we work toward.
Our Umdoni Farm is a strategic piece of our vision. In 2024, we saw significant advancements in our ability to create agricultural systems that families can learn from and adapt to their homes, thus becoming more sustainable and strengthened to raise their own children. In 2025, hundreds of families will benefit from the training and resourcing that Umdoni Farm will provide.
As we reflect on 2024, we are filled with gratitude for all that God has done in Cambodia. We celebrated a significant milestone with the completion of the final phase of our Care Point in Roka Village, which now includes a staff house/team dormitory. This project has deepened our relationships with the villagers, and our group of believers has grown to nearly 30 in that village, with spiritual growth evident in their prayers, encouragement, and outreach to others.
Additionally, God answered our prayers for male believers, and we now have 10 men in the four villages where we minister who have professed faith in Christ. Our English and Bible classes continue to thrive, reaching 400 students weekly, with a growing opportunity to share the Gospel with their families through our social work program. We have also added a Khmer literacy program integrated with Bible teaching for the adults and teens. There is such excitement among those that are joining to be able to learn to read.
We are incredibly grateful for these blessings and the impact we are seeing in the communities we serve.
This chart provides an overview of our total revenue for the 2024 fiscal year and outlines how these funds were allocated across our ministry. Program costs include all expenses associated with our trips and programs. Administrative costs cover the daily operational expenses of our ministry.
Fundraising costs encompass all expenditures related to supporting staff and programs in their efforrts to secure financial contributions for the organization.
For over three decades, our mission has been to equip and empower Christians to become devoted disciples who then go on to disciple others, spreading the love of Jesus Christ around the world. God has blessed us with incredible growth and opportunities to serve, but the work is far from finished. There are still countless individuals who have yet to hear the Gospel and experience the life-transforming power of Christ’s love.
As we step into the new year, we are reminded that the call to go and make disciples remains as urgent as ever. The world continues to change, and with it, new opportunities to share God’s truth emerge. This is a time to boldly press forward, adapt, and continue the work that God has called us to. We trust that in 2025, He will continue to work in mighty ways, transforming lives and expanding His Kingdom.
Thank you for being a part of this journey. Together, we can make a lasting difference. Let’s move forward in faith!
