Life is Beautiful

On Saturday morning I had the opportunity to do something extreme, and rather out of character, that I had never done before… motorcycling and dirt biking (Uncle Kenny, Kyle, and Grant… I know you guys won’t believe me until I put up pictures, so be patient)!  Anyways… three of my teammates and I rode with members of the church for a morning of fellowship.  For over three hours, on an absolutely beautiful day, we rode around Lake Atitlán and I am convinced that I got the best view of Guatemala!

The morning was a wonderful time of fellowship with members of the church, but God also taught me a few different things during that time.  First of all, I was absolutely captivated by the scenery and nature that we witnessed during our ride.  I was in awe of God’s craftsmanship and artistic creativity!  How awesome that we have a God who wants us to enjoy beauty all around us!  Reflecting on the beauty He has created in nature also caused me to think about the amount of beauty and creativity that He has intentionally designed each of us with.  If he cared to design each flower with specific colors and designs, surely he put care and detail into creating me!

In addition to taking in God’s beauty, He also revealed to me that I need to trust in Him much, much more than I do!  I need to trust Him with the little things, like my safety on a crazy fast motorcycle, and the big things, like my much undecided future.  While I don’t know all of the answers, I don’t need to, because He is in full control!  And thank goodness for that!
