Mi Papa en Guatemala

Sorry guys, I wasn’t able to write a blog last week but I want to take this time for you to get to know Pstr. Ronnie.
I am personally blessed by his love for the Lord. I remember our very first night in Puerto Barrios and he introduced himself. “I will be your driver every ministry you go. But I am not only your driver. I am a pastor and I am with you, praying for you, encouraging you. You are all in my heart.” And up to this day, he has kept his word. He is a man completely devoted to the will of His father. Whether it would be driving us, playing soccer, praying with and for us, and many other things, his heart is totally 100% in it.
On his birthday, which nobody really knew because he is such a humble man, we were scheduled to have ministry that night at the park to play soccer with some kids. But as soon as we found out, we bought his 2 favorite foods – pizza and cheesecake so he can go home and eat with his family. He still wanted to take us to the park but after we surprised him, we all wanted for him to go home and be with his loved ones. He spent almost all day with us. That’s the kind of love Pastor Ronnie has for us. What a great man!
One night while some of us are sitting outside the house, Pstr. Ronnie shared his testimony about how God patiently pursued him while he was in the military. Pastor Ronnie used to fight a lot but God broke his heart and now he is full of love. He continued to share some more about the miracles He has seen and experienced in his family especially with his mom. Years ago, the doctor told her that she only had a few months to live with her sickness but God spoke to Pastor Ronnie to pray over her and now she is alive, well and living in his house.
A few days ago, we were at the dump and after Pstr. Ronnie helped Abby and I talk to this 37-year-old widow who’s been working there for a few years, he and I gazed at her two sons aged 3 and 4. Then he told me, “You know, Jaimie, I want to built a comedor (cafeteria/food shelter) for these children. It’s hard for these kids to be here all day. Look at them, they’re all covered up so as not to be eaten by flies. But flies are everywhere. But that is not the main problem. These kids are hungry and God wants to feed them.”
And he went on with the visions God gave him the month he stepped foot in Puerto Barrios a few years ago. While he and his wife were writing them down, God specifically told them that He will give them a 5 mansanas (bigger than an acre) land where they can built a church, an orphanage, a missionary house, a comedor, etc. This month, a man who owns a 5 mansanas land offered it to Pastor Ronnie for 500,000 quetzales! He then told this man, “I don’t have that kind of money right now but let me share you about the vision God gave me!” The man was so blessed and offered the land for 400,000 quetzales! That is only more than 50,000 in US dollars!
So I encourage all of you to be one with me and let’s ask GOD, the God who makes everything possible and who sends out rain to make HIS visions not only known to us, but to be made into fruition! He is the GOD who fulfills promises and provides for his children. Let’s all pray for this man of God and his family to see the abundance of their Abba father and let heaven come down on this earth so we would all see more of our Creator.
“And my God will meet my all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” Phil 4:19
