Faith Is Rising in Nicaragua

Lisa Smith, a World Race alumnus from the July 2008 F Squad, is now serving as a full-time missionary in Candelaria, Nicaragua. She spent a month of the World Race there, and God moved her heart to return permanently.

Lisa is the Director of Children's Ministry for New Song Mission. Her dream is for the restoration of families in Nicaragua through relational ministry. She leads children's Sunday school classes, youth programs, outreaches to local villages, child sponsorships, and education programs.  She eventually plans to have a home for children who are orphaned, abused, or abandoned.

Lisa and the rest of the New Song staff give their lives to the people of Candelaria so they can understand God's love. Lisa recently put together a short video that shows the season of harvest their ministry is experiencing right now. We invite you to spend four minutes in Nicaragua and see what God is doing there through a team of missionaries.

"This has been such a year of the Lord's favor, both in my personal life as well as in the mission. It has been incredible to just sit back and watch the Lord move! I really believe that much of what he is doing now is a result of the deepening of our faith that came through the trials of last year.

"This video shows some of the beauty of this new spring season we have entered with the Lord. So, enjoy the lovely faces of my
neighbors and family here and the beauty of what the Lord is doing
     in our midst."
