Hola from Puerto Barrios, Guatemala!
From the chilly cold grounds of Georiga to the lush warm land of Guatemala, I start my journey of this crazy adventure. When I think training camp I think of silly team bonding games that make situations more awkward than usual, but NOT this training camp. This training camp is more like spiritual bootcamp.
I have never felt so spiritually prepared to go into the mission field, as I did here in Georgia. Falling in love with Christ all over again, finding your idenity in Christ, to proclaiming FREEDOM over myself and teammates. Breaking down the walls of fear and anxiety, so that we can walk freely in our faith as we minster to the beautiful people of Guatemala.
On our last night in training camp, I realized that these 14 amazing people were going to be my family for 1/3 of my year. I' am perfectly content calling them family for this season in my life, and I cant thank God enough for bringing us all together for one purpose. That purpose– SPREADING THE LOVE OF CHRIST.
I think I speak for everyone on my team when I say,
"We are stoked for the next four months of our lives
here in Guatemala!"
