About the Missions Training Institute
In 1997, AIM started the
Missions Training Institute (MTI) in Matamoros, Mexico. It was something that God led us to do to raise up long-term, national missionaries in Latin America.
The following year, we graduated our first class of 34 students. Since then, we’ve mobilized hundreds of Latin American missionaries, many of which have brought the Gospel to unreached areas in Mexico and to Muslim countries in the Middle East and Asia.
This year, the leadership of the MTI was turned over to a local couple who have been serving there for several years, and this summer the institute is being relocated to a more populated area. However, the new building is in need of some repairs.
An AIM
mission team will be starting the building renovation project on June 21. Richard Rogers, the leader of the upcoming trip, shares why he’s going:
I’ve seen the tremendous fruit that has come from this little missions training school over the last 12 years. I’ve ministered in the villages with them, I’ve been on missions trips with them, and slept on concrete floors out in the boonies with them, and every time, their compassion, their willingness to suffer, and their love for the people blew me away… I’ll do anything to help people like this.

How You Can Help
The school will be opening its new campus this summer. The staff and students will move into a facility that is in need of renovations and furnishing. The plans include expanding the space to add more dormitories, meeting space, and installing a commercial kitchen.
The estimated cost of the project is $35,500.
A team will be in Matamoros on June 21st to work alongside the students to make the renovations and get the facility ready for the students to move in July. Can you help us meet the goal and keep the MTI going?
Average monthly expenses to operate the school are $7,500 per month for food, utilities, staff salaries, building maintenance, transportation, etc. Your financial support and prayers are greatly appreciated!

Ana, an MTI student, ministered while on a mission to reach the Raramuri Indians in Mexico by cutting and shampooing the children’s hair, which became the perfect opportunity to talk with the parents and share God’s love with them.
“They received the message, they opened their hearts, and God showed favor to us with the Raramuri woman and children.”

Janeth spent three months in the mountains of Chihuahua, Mexico with some of her fellow students. They would hike 4-8 hours through the mountains to find unreached villages and often carry the sick and elderly back to the hospital.
“I would not exchange this experience for anything in the world.”
